Licensing Requirements 

Michigan licensing is actually quite simple, just create an account online and purchase, or find a retailer in state upon arrival and buy your tags there. 

Resident licensing:
Resident Base License - $11
Waterfowl License - $12
Federal Waterfowl Stamp - $27.50
Migratory Bird Hunter - $0

Non Resident licensing:
Non Resident Base License - $151
Waterfowl License - $12
Federal Waterfowl Stamp - $27.50
Migratory Bird Hunter - $0

What to Bring with You

Dress appropriate for the weather, be prepared for any temperature from 0 degrees to 65 degrees. Duck hunters should be prepared with waders, otherwise, knee high boots are recommended. Non-toxic shot and a plugged shotgun is required, we recommend Boss Shotshells for the most ethical harvest of game and lower crippling rates.
